Midway Studios South Boston, MA Owner: Keen Development Corporation Architect: Finegold Alexander + Associates _____________________________________ Located in Boston’s Fort Point Neighborhood, construction of the Midway Studios project is underway. This 200,000 square foot development will be home to 89 new artists’ live/work studios, a gallery, black box theatre and café. The studios will range in size from 920 square feet to 2,300 square feet. 40% of the 89 units have been named by the BRA as “income restricted”. Midway Studios broke ground in September and has a completion date of late fall 2004. This project marks the beginning in the effort to save the affordable living for artists, the real founders of the neighborhood, who were being displaced by high rents and new developments. Go Back
