New construction of this project began in November of 2003. Cross Street Housing provides nineteen affordable rental units for families that are moving out of shelters. There are be a total of 20 units, nineteen for the families and one for a live-in caretaker, who is be on-call 24-hours a day. In addition to the 20 units, this project also has 4,000 square feet of program and office space used by the support staff. These 20 units are spread out between three buildings designed to compliment the character of the Suffolk Square Neighborhood.
